Last year we tried. We tried to go to a Pumpkin Patch. But we were scrambling and disorganized last October. We had moved into the area 3 months prior and I barely even realized it was October until the very last minute. So last year we ended up driving out to the Pumpkin Patch a few days before Halloween and it was dead, no Halloween-y pun intended. There may as well have been tumbleweeds rolling across the fields. So last year we bought Pumpkins from the local produce stand a few blocks from our house. I won’t lie. I was really bummed about this.
But this year we made it!!!!!!!!!! We headed out to the same patch on Bainbridge Island we tried to visit last year. Our little guy got to run around amidst all the pumpkins, explore a little haystack maze, and even got to go on a tractor ride. (Win, win, and win.) Plus, we picked up 3 fantastic pumpkins that are now proudly sitting on our porch waiting to be carved.
Here’s our little story:
We pause here a moment so my husband can check is fantasy football scores. Not looking good, but he’s hopeful. (He totally ended up losing.)
Ok, back to picking a pumpkin.
