Growing up decorating our home for Christmas was always a very favorite family event of mine. My family goes a little nuts on Christmas. They are the people that bust out the Christmas music in the house promptly on October 1. They keep all the Christmas decorations boxed in the basement and labeled Phase 1 and Phase 2 because there are so many decorations it required two separate weekends to put it all up. Well, that was when they were decorating on St. Nick’s birthday but then my family decided to start taking advantage of the long Thanksgiving weekend. So now the whole job can generally be tackled over the course of 3 solid working days.
Given this background, I was thrilled when this family suggested centering their documentary session around decorating an extra tree and finishing their seasonal decorations in their beautiful 100 year old home. Here is a quick peek into their authentic and festive in home session.
