The end of 2016 marked 2 full years of my collaborative project, Sham of the Perfect, and it continues to be such a challenging and inspiring project for me. Not only has it kept me shooting and working to make better images regularly but it’s also become such a valuable network or peers for me. Our contributors and the members of the online community on Facebook and Instagram regularly bowl me over with their images and challenge me to keep trying and keep moving forward.
2016 was particularly an exciting year for Sham as we ended up being featured on The Huffington Post whose article, then, spawned coverage on various other websites and blogs all over the world. The week that article came out still stands out as one of the most surreal times of my life and the only week I actually got overwhelmed by hearing my phone buzz with email notification after email notification.
This year we are continuing the project with a few really exciting changes. We have added some wonderful new contributors. Additionally, we are including written content on photography, parenting, and photographing while parenting on our blog as well as the artist features and collaborative posts we have been publishing for the past two years.
