Here in Kitsap County the summer has been a bit tricky this year. A false start of warm weather early in June got me all excited and ready for a heat wave. My family broke out all our fans, I was prepared to start my yearly choreography of opening windows and closing blinds at just the right time, we even purchased a black out curtain for the kids room this year.
However, it was just a tease be mother nature and by the following week we were back to 60 degree weather and lots of cloudy skies. Which is exactly what I experienced at the family session I shot this weekend. And you know what? It was perfect. The family decided to spend some time playing along the shoreline of a friends house in Bremerton and I cannot possibly imagine a more western Washington scene than a family on a rocky shoreline, with a gentle breeze and an overcast sky meeting the deep green of pine trees.
