P52 – Week 1, Macro – Poulsbo Photographer

I have decided that 2014 is the year I tackle a year long photography project.  (Wish me luck!)  A 365 project is a little daunting and would likely end up with several lack luster shots taken at 11:00 PM before I crawled into bed.  But a 52 week project?  That seems doable.

My P52 assignments will be will be derived from two different sources; a list I found off the internet (I literally googled “p52 photography” and blammo) as well as assignments out of the book The Visual Toolbox by photographer David DuChemin (I have just started reading this book and it is truly wonderful and motivating read thus far).

This first week’s theme (from the internet list, if you are curious) is “Macro”.  The following image was taken with a Lensbaby Composer Pro (my obsession with this lens continues), the x10 macro adapter, and “rose” shaped aperture disc.

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday and I wish you the best for your 2014!  I am pretty sure it will be the best year yet.
