Week 34 of my 52 week project was about waiting on your foreground. The idea is you find your scene, your background, and set up your shot first and wait for your foreground to create itself. Normally, my son keeps me moving so I don’t get to stop in a single spot to wait for too long. However, I was able to take some extra time while we were in San Diego. I was able to set up my camera and just shoot on the beach at Coronado Island while my husband and son had fun in the waves.
For this particular image I had my camera steadied on a tripod and saw this little bird approaching from down the beach. I know if I waited long enough he would walk right into my frame, and right to the spot where I wanted him.
