February’s Day in the Life was technically delayed by a day, which ended up being fortunate because the 15th was amazing! The 15th was like a breath of fresh air, literally and metaphorically, after a really long week. Our little guy has been grumpy for no discernible reason for several days. (#toddlerproblems, am I right?) Honestly, I think this week our terribly independent little dude started to realize, in earnest, that he is just to small to do a lot of things. (In fact, if you look carefully, you can probably see a bit of that in these images.) Which is terribly sweet and heartbreaking until you are in the midst of the 8th small child meltdown of the day fueled by sheer frustration at simple tasks. But I digress……
Since my husband had the following Monday off for Presidents day we took advantage of a truly beautiful Sunday and drove out to Port Townsend, Washington. We ran around and played at the beach at Fort Worden State Park. Soaked up some sunshine and breezy sea air. We found a ladybug. Then, we grabbed some chocolate milk for the kiddo, chai for myself, and coffee for the husband before driving home.
Have I mentioned how much I love living here in Washington?
