Blue Sky – Bainbridge Island Lifestyle Family Photography

Saturday mid day I was coming back from a beautiful morning in Seattle.  While chasing my son around on the ferry I couldn’t help but notice that, while the sky in Seattle was impossibly perfect, the clouds on the other side of the sound did not look so inviting.  A quick text to a friend and a quick peek at my weather app and sure enough; there were small patches of rain all over greater Kitsap county and only a couple hours until my scheduled session.  This always sends the Type A portion of my personality into a tailspin.  I mean it’s always a tiny bit of a gamble.  Does one play it super safe and reschedule early in order to save everyone the inconvenience of everyone getting ready and driving out to the session location?  Or does one hold out hope that they will hit the jack pot and get that moment right after the rain when the sky begins to clear exposing gorgeous patches of blue and sunshine.

Needless to say, I was very glad I held out on Saturday and got to play with this wonderful family of four at Fort Ward state park on Bainbridge Island.  Here is a quick peek at their sunny little session.
