Creating Traditions – Lifestyle Family Photographer

Sometimes families create traditions without even knowing it. One silly little thing you did one time takes on some sort of significance in the eyes of a little kid and suddenly that silly little thing becomes a ritual. And you never entirely know what that special little thing will be for your family.

Last Christmas I got to spend an evening with one of my oldest friends and her family as they put up their Christmas tree and celebrated an improvised early Christmas Eve as the were traveling over the actual holiday. Their two little ones are just at the right age where the holidays really start to develop meaning and those little family traditions start to take root. So it was truly an honor to be there and document this evening for them.
